The Festival interceltique de Lorient is the largest festival in Brittany and France. It attracts an average of 750,000 visitors and spectators each year! While the town of Lorient is the base for the Festival Interceltique, festival-goers can take advantage of all the activities available in Lorient Bretagne Sud: beaches, visits, walks only add to the cultural discovery you will experience at the Festival! Are you coming?
Every year, for 10 days at the beginning of August, the event brings together 11 Celtic nations in Lorient at several sites in the city (Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man, Galicia, Asturias, Brittany, United States, Acadia in Canada, Australia). Every year, the public comes to applaud more than 4500 artists (musicians, dancers, visual artists, film-makers…). And it has been going on for 50 years!

In Lorient, 120 stage shows, more than half free
120 shows take place on stage, and 60% of them are free of charge!
On the first Sunday of the Festival, the Great Parade of Celtic Nations is a must-see. The full programme is available on the Festival Interceltique website.

Lorient, the Inter-Celtic capital: music everywhere!
At the Festival interceltique de Lorient, you can dance at a fest-noz, attend sporting events, visit exhibitions of art and costumes, eat and drink Celtic, discover Celtic crafts, visit the many stands. During the event, the town of Lorient celebrates every day, day and night!
The natives of the Morbihan are huge fans of the event, which also attracts many French and foreign tourists.
